GNI’s professional career began in auditing and management consultancy before he transitioned into banking and financial services in 1989. Over nearly two decades, he built a stellar record in investment banking, focusing on financial advisory, project finance, privatization consultancy, capital raising, asset management, and securities trading.

He led high-profile teams that secured equity and debt capital from Nigerian markets, advised the Federal Government on privatization transactions, and facilitated capital restructuring for private sector firms.

Transforming Ogun State’s Economy

In 2004, his expertise led to his appointment as the pioneering Group Managing Director of Gateway Holdings Limited, the investment arm of Ogun State. Under his leadership, Gateway Holdings became a strategic driver of the state’s economic revitalization.

His achievements included:

Establishing the state-owned Gateway Savings and Loans Ltd
Spearheading the Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone project
Overseeing the privatization of dormant public hotels
Coordinating the state’s transport empowerment initiative
Restructuring and monetizing dormant state assets to generate significant revenues.
